Jürgen Vargas Schmitz defended his PhD thesis
We are very happy to announce that on July 20th, 2023, Jürgen Vargas Scnmitz successfully defended his PhD thesis ‘Systematische Entwicklung adsorptiver Gastrennprozesse für Mehrstoffgemische’. During his research in our group, he developed a methodology for the systematic selection of experiments that allow the efficient parametrization of impressively accurate mathematical models of adsorption processes.
Jürgen Vargas Schmitz’ work is an important contribution towards the development of, for example, pressure-swing adsorption (PSA) processes with enhanced performance as are needed for more sustainable chemical and environmental applications.
Furthermore, without his dedication and extremely hard work, gas adsorption processes would not have become an integral part of our research portfolio.
Thank you very much and very warm congratulations, Dr. Vargas Schmitz!
